Preferably use a background image of 1920x1280 (3:2 ratio) pixels or larger: Then the full-screen background will be displayed the sharpest. A smaller image will otherwise be stretched on desktop and make the background blurrier. On desktop, many screens display a maximum of 1920x1080 (16:9 ratio). The bottom part is therefore out of the picture, take this into account when choosing the photo. However, it is good to use a higher photo (3:2 ratio) because this part is visible on some screens with slightly different screen ratios and you will otherwise see an empty space. Where can I find the URL of the page or edition? Page and edition: Click on Preview in the purple bar at the top of your page. The URL you now see in the bar is the URL of the page. You can use this to forward, for example: magazinename.nl/editionname/pagename. If you want to send someone the link of the edition, go to the first page of the edition and copy the URL as described above. The URL of the edition is actually the URL of the first page. Main domain: You can also use only the URL of the main domain (magazinename.nl), this opens the overview of all editions (Kiosk) and from there a user can click through to one of the editions.
I can't edit a cloned block After cloning a block, first save the page (click the Save and continue editing button at the top of the page) and then continue editing the cloned content block.
How do you make a button or text a link to a lower part of the page?
This is a link to an anchor. Each content block has an Anchor field, enter a (unique) name here, e.g. readmore1. Now make the link #readmore1 to the button or piece of text. So the name of the anchor with a # in front.
How do you adjust the size of an image? You can place an image in a certain size in a certain position on the page in different ways.
With a section with multiple columns; you place the image in one of the columns. The width of the column then limits the size of the image. A simple way but you are bound to the size of the columns.
With an image in a section with 1 column. Set the space to the left and right of the image (left and right margin) in the settings of the image block. The same percentage filled in in both fields will center the image. Different percentages on the left and right will position the image more to the left or right.
By filling in the width of the image block. In the settings of the image block, fill in a percentage or the number of pixels in the width field (leave height empty). The image is always centered unless you also fill in the margins.
Option 2 is in many cases the most accurate and flexible.
What is better pixels or percentages? Pixels are a fixed size and will remain the same size on a larger or smaller screen. Percentage is a percentage of the screen; 50% is half the screen on both a large and a smaller screen, so the image or margin in percentage scales with the screen size. Percentage works best in many cases. More information
Can I view how my page looks on a mobile phone in Magzmaker?
There is no functionality for this in Magzmaker itself, but you can use your browser to simulate a mobile display. It is useful to open a separate browser screen next to your work screen that you set to mobile format. This way you can make adjustments in the browser with your work screen, save them and then view the result in the separate screen next to it.
You can read how to set the different browsers to mobile display (or other screen ratios) here.
